OCES PTA has partnered with vendors to offer a variety of after-school clubs from 3:30-4:30 p.m. beginning in October and ending before Winter Break. Details about the clubs are available below.

OCES PTA has partnered with The Children’s Center for Language and Culture, Inc. (ChiCeLaCu!) to offer a full-year, introductory Spanish program that will meet on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Professional educators who are native Spanish speakers will apply dynamic and fun classroom strategies to make learning Spanish fun!
This program is currently open to K-4th graders. Parents of 5th and 6th graders interested in Spanish, please contact the PTA. If there is sufficient interest, we can put together an older group cohort. See the flyer for registration and additional details.

OCES PTA has partnered with Overtime Athletics to offer the Sports Spectacular and Double Play programs. Double Play will provide four weeks of flag football and four weeks of basketball for students in 4th-6th grade. Double Play will meet on Mondays and cost $100. Sports Spectacular will introduce students in grades K-3 to a new sport each week. It will meet on Fridays and cost $100. See the flyer for registration and additional details.
OCES Chess Club
OCES PTA has partnered with Magnus Chess Academy to provide students the chance to learn and practice chess. The program emphasizes fun, but also sneaks in critical thinking, sportsmanship, and patience. Chess Club is open to all students and meets on Tuesdays. OCES Drama Club
OCES PTA has partnered with Acting For Young People to provide “Take the Stage” this fall. Through theater games, improvisation, and storytelling, young actors will build their skills and confidence as performers in preparation for a special showcase presentation, held on the last class day. Drama club is open to students in K-3rd grade and will meet on Thursdays. See the flyer for registration and additional details.
OCES Cooking Club

OCES PTA has partnered with iCook After School to teach students culinary skills. Students will have fun learning skills like whisking, chopping, and peeling, while also learning more about nutrition. Each class features a new recipe students can bring home to share with the family. Cooking club for students in grades K-3 will meet on Tuesday and cooking clubs for grades 4-6 will meet on Thursday. OCES Tech Club
OCES PTA has partnered with iCode to provide a tech club that provides hands-on activities designed to teach new skills. Instructors help students to become comfortable with technology in a fun approach that enhances learning in science, math, engineering, and the arts.
