Olde Creek Bears Care Community Outreach Program

The Bears Care Program is our outreach effort to provide weekend food provisions to students and their families in need within our school.  These students typically receive free or reduced priced meals during the school days, which for many are the only consistent meals they receive.  This program collects food donations from our school and surrounding community that are dropped off at the school and packed by student volunteers on a weekly basis to provide weekend food support.  In addition, this program provides further support to our families by providing holiday meals, holiday gifts, Book Fair coupons, and summer food support.

If you are interested in signing up for food donations, please look for the weekly sign-up links in the weekly Olde Creek email update.

Gift cards are also accepted for emergencies (such as families without food at all), Christmas, Spring Break and summer to help our families through a longer length of time.

Please contact Lisa Goodwin with questions or if you need assistance with dropping off donations outside of school hours.

During the 2019-2020 school year, the Olde Creek Bears Care program received a $1,000 donation from No Child Goes Hungry to help purchase food and gift cards for Olde Creek families.
